- Working with selective organizations, leaders, and management teams to identify and eliminate barriers to performance improvement.
- Formed a new company with a major corporation to combine and streamline operations of two major plants encompassing 1800 people, 11 unions and sales of approximately $130 million. Established an approach and methodology to guarantee and achieve 20% cost reductions across all products within 5 years.
- President of a diversified corporation encompassing 5000 employees, subsidiary operations and sales of approximately $420 million. Achieved record profits last two years before the corporation was acquired.
- Led transformation to a new mission as General Manager of a plant of 3000 employees. Successfully implemented new information systems, made major changes in the leadership and organization structure, applied metrics as management tools, and tied personnel accountability to customer commitments within 18 months.
- Implemented dramatic changes as Plant Manager at a plant of 1200 employees to stymie movements to close the plant. Successfully implemented within 2 years a new organization and leadership structure, new quality systems and approaches, new information systems, partnering approaches with the unions, partnering agreements with customers, and employee-owned metrics while absorbing the turmoil resulting from two major reductions in force. Initiatives resulted in significantly reduced product costs, earned customer quality awards, and new investment in the plant.

- A matrix program management structure addressing all responsibility, accountability and reporting challenges
- A disciplined competitive strategy development, bidding and negotiation process
- A modified process to address key direct and overhead cost variables to proactively manage product cost

- A changed performance appraisal process based on objective criteria tied to organization objectives
- Served on several boards of directors including a publicly traded company, was an officer in a Washington DC task force, and was a co-chair for an industry advisory group.
